As a family, we love focusing on nourishing our bodies from the inside out and today I am partnering with Pacific Foods to show you one of our favourite recipes using their organic Non-GMO vegetable broth as well as seven steps you can implement to nourish your body and your mind.

I absolutely love how Pacific Foods stands for ingredients that nourish your body and support growth and development while also encouraging taking time to nourish yourself beyond the foods you are eating.

There are so many things we love doing as a family but some of our favourite are going on walks together, practicing yoga as well as eating a predominantly whole foods plant-based diet.

Some simple strategies you can easily implement that help us nourish our minds and our bodies together as a family:

1. Choose products that focus on simple, premium ingredients. This is why we
love choosing, organic, Non-GMO products such as Pacific Foods as it enables
me to use quality products without having to make them myself. We use their
veggie broth in so many dishes and it saves me a step in having to make it

2. Have a plan on what you’re going to cook in order to get in more whole foods. I
love referencing Pinterest to get a few ideas of what I’m going to cook for the
week. Make sure to pin this recipe here! This always helps reduce overwhelm
and ensures my family is getting in as many whole foods as possible. I like to
focus on as many whole dishes as possible and referencing Pinterest gives me
an endless amount of ideas that I can simply modify with using what I already
have if I need to.

3. Prepare meals at the start of the day and make sure to freeze any leftovers. I
love this because it enables us to have access to whole food dishes even on the
days we don’t have time to cook. I’ll make a recipe using Pacific Foods veggie
broth and have enough to last a couple of meals. Having a ready-made broth
made from premium ingredients simplifies a step. This always helps getting in
nutritious options without comprising time together doing what we love.

4. Get the kids involved in cooking! This one is huge for me. I love being able to
teach my children how to create meals using simple, whole ingredients and then
you’re able to spend time together.

5. Do not over complicate cooking. Make simple recipes that support using whole
ingredients. This one is huge. The more simple and whole the ingredients are,
the easier and more flavourful the recipes can be. I know it can feel
overwhelming but it doesn’t have to be so make it as simple and easy as
possible especially if you’re a busy mom or just starting to cook.

6. Engage in physical activity together as a family to help support growth and
development while also enabling quality time together. We absolutely love going
for walks, not only for the physical benefits but also for how it allows us to
connect together as a family. Some other ideas are exploring nature in the
mountains, going swimming or playing at the beach.

7. Yoga. Even if the kids can’t perfect their tree poses they can still learn by
example. Taking the time to care for themselves from the inside out. Focusing on
the importance off slowing down, connecting with their inner selves and
grounding themselves in an otherwise fast world.

These are just 7 simple ideas on how you can nourish yourself beyond the foods you are eating. I’d love to hear in the comment section below what kinds of things you do as a family that supports nourishment from the inside out. #ad
