BEING A #GLOSSBOSS WITH CLAIROL
To be honest, taking care of my self has honestly been the least of my priorities since having baby Harlow. I promised my self this year would still include self care and making sure I kept up with my physical and mental self but lets get real—there are only so many hours in a day. This is something I want to work on because it just helps me feel better.
My nails have never been worse, I haven’t seen my mat in over a month and my hair was in dire need of some TLC. After sharing my concerns and how dull, dry and weak my hair was looking Clairol reached out to me with a partnership that couldn’t sound like any more of a fit.
A hair gloss I can use at home, that takes less than 10 minutes and won’t compromise the integrity of my hair. Of course, I had a bunch of questions about colouring my hair at home but the team was more than helpful in addressing my concerns and educating me on the product itself.
Natural Instincts is a non-permanent hair gloss that helps enhance your current hair colour without the commitment. It only lasts 28 washes but it’s gentle enough to use once a month because of its ingredients and how it is ammonia free. We are seeing gloss trends everywhere for summer—in our homes, in our closets, so naturally why wouldn’t we strive to have it in our hair as well? Since having Harlow I have noticed an increase in the red tones in my hair as well as a couple greys (thank you hormones!) so I’m looking forward to having a go to that doesn’t require me to spend hours at the salon but still gives me the results I’m looking for without those harsh root lines. The colour specialist educated me on how the product will lock in moisture and add shine for healthier looking colour. The hair gloss is offered in 32 different shades so there is literally a perfect fit for everyone and it’s available across Canada wherever beauty aids are sold.
The product was so easy to apply myself, there weren’t any harsh smells and it didn’t leave a mess anywhere. I was able to apply it, wash it out, style my hair and take these photos all before Harlow was up from her nap. Now that is impressive.
Right away I noticed a richer, glossier, healthier look to my hair. I seriously felt so much better immediately and I didn’t have to leave my house. You can see in the before and after photos the red tones that I loathe are now gone and my hair totally looks shinier and richer. I wanted to share my experience with you all because I know how intimidating it can be to colour your hair at home and I do believe it’s finding the right product. Life can be so busy and you add a child (or a couple!) to the mix and it’s hard to keep up with your own self care. I love how much better I felt right away. I honestly believe when you take the best care of yourself you’re better to be the best version of yourself.
I wanted to be able to share this with all of you and even though Natural Instincts is only $8.99 they are offering a coupon code for $2 off

Make sure to use the product, take a photo and share it on Instagram using #GlossBoss to be entered to win. I hope I’ve helped reduce some of those fears you might have had about colouring your hair at home and have inspired you girls by creating some gloss envy! Even though I am partnering with Clairol on this post I would never share anything I didn’t believe in or truly love or find beneficial. Of course I wouldn’t encourage something I didn’t personally believe in but I wanted to make sure I mentioned it as this is a sponsored post.
Thank you for always coming by and taking a minute to read up on all the things I’m loving and how our life is going and I can’t wait to hear from you and see some of your gorgeous locks!
